The Vision

The Jewish People have returned to their land, slowly shaking the dust of the exile off their clothing and seeking a living connection with their land and their Torah. No longer are they strangers scattered all over, but sons and daughters of the land, no longer exiles crawling out of their holes, vulnerable to the mercies of others, but a link in the chain of generations from our forefathers to this day.

We have returned, infused and as believers, for it is not enough to build homes in the Land of Israel, while working the land and being connected to it remain as orphans. We seek to walk an old-new path that sees man - the land - and Divinely inspired work as a triple chord that will not be quickly disconnected.

Background:

In recent years, a change in direction has begun for everything connected to settlement in Judea and Samaria - on the one hand, the flourishing building boom that has grown exponentially, also bringing with it a blessed growth in population, and on the other hand, the cry of the land which is being buried under clay and cement is rising before us...

If, in the past, the building of the settlement enterprise and connecting to our roots in the land went together as one nourishing the other, today the momentum of building means that there is - maximum - one person per dunam...

In light of all this, we're asking ourselves: Is this how we want to see our future in the State of Israel in general, and in the settlement movement in Judea and Samaria in particular? Is it really enough for us to hold onto the beams of our house, but not so much to our land?

In short,

We aspire to integrate all of these things: Man - Land - Home, and additionally, our involvement with animals; all of this not necessarily just as a source of income, but as a way of life based on our longing for the return to Zion for which we have been waiting for 2000 years, in which we are marching forward with pride but without forgetting where we came from, with the view that the one who remembers his past, will build the future.

How do we do that?

By developing agricultural enterprises that connect man to his land.

The farm will be at the edge of the area designated for construction, as close as possible to farm fields in the area, in a way that will allow for independent control.

Farming units will be built that are based on areas not designated for construction, with the understanding that areas that are so designated are very limited in the current situation.

Educating for community life that is linked to the land, in the simplest understanding of the term, while using rural terminologies.

The understanding that the resident engages in agriculture as part of an ideological venture, his source of income in the future also being from outside work, while integrating these two features together.

A shared set of tools, starting with mechanical tools and up to administrative activities, will be for the benefit of the resident, while recognizing that such a setup will support making the vision a reality and will facilitate its development with maximal efficiency.

Administration of community life on the farm, customized definitions of conduct, defining areas for agriculture, industry and livestock, financial assistance via subsidies for this sector and more, the basics of proper operation of the farm.

Establishment of a visitors' center and guidance in order to raise public awareness and sharing of knowledge for the development of additional agricultural enterprises.
